The TOP CONSULTANT competition takes a close look at consulting quality / scientifically grounded customer survey
Frankfurt am Main — into the consulting elite: Lean Group GmbH has been awarded the TOP CONSULTANT 2021 seal. The firm is now among Germany’s leading mid-market consultancies and has been entitled to carry the seal since 15 June. The nationwide TOP CONSULTANT competition examined for the 12th time, on a scientific basis, how well the participants have advised their mid-sized clients.
The basis of the competition is a survey of mid-sized companies that had previously worked with the participating consulting firms. The reference clients named by Lean Group provided feedback on how professional the consultants were, how satisfied they are with the consulting work and whether they would recommend Lean Group. On behalf of compamedia, the Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung (WGMB), based in Bonn, carried out the scientific survey and put participants under close scrutiny. According to WGMB, what is decisive is “client-centric, mid-market-oriented consulting” (more information on the assessment criteria at www.top-consultant.de/pruefkriterien).
Lean Group made it and is among the best mid-market consultancies.

Prof. Dr. Dietmar Fink, professor of management consulting at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, leads the Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung together with Bianka Knoblach. They decide who is named TOP CONSULTANT. “What matters is that consulting firms understand and respond to the specific needs of their mid-sized clients,” says Prof. Dr. Dietmar Fink.
On 26 November there will be another reason to celebrate: every TOP CONSULTANT of the 2021 vintage will come together for the TOP CONSULTANT finale at the 7th German Mittelstands-Summit. As mentor of the competition, former Federal President Christian Wulff will personally congratulate every TOP CONSULTANT.
