At the start of the year, Lean Group founded a Norwegian subsidiary based in Stavanger.
Stavanger: energy capital and prime location for northern Europe
The choice of Stavanger was not a coincidence. As the “energy capital”, Stavanger is one of the strongest industrial regions in Norway. It also stands out with countless start-ups, universities and business schools, an excellently trained workforce, and a reputation as the most innovative region in Norway.
In the heart of Stavanger’s old town, in a modern open-plan office building, Lean Group AS has set up its corporate seat. From here the local team around managing director Dagfinn Seglem looks after clients and projects in Norway and northern Europe.
Top team: highly qualified, motivated leadership with team
In Dagfinn Seglem, managing director of Lean Group AS — the Norwegian legal form of Lean Group — we have brought a very experienced and highly qualified personality on board.
Dagfinn already has extensive experience as a managing director with companies in England, Spain and Norway. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture and construction management as well as a master’s in real-estate management and is actively involved in project work in lead roles on major projects.
As a former cycling pro, Dagfinn brings a great deal of energy and execution power to the Lean Group team and impresses with his ability to forge a successful power team out of individuals and to lead them.
Local advantage: specialised expertise with a strong local team
Lean Group is among Germany’s leading consultancies. Ever since takt planning and takt control were “invented” by a team member, lean construction has been one of Lean Group’s core fields. Lean Group has also been active in the Norwegian and northern European markets for a long time. With the new entity, clients and projects on site can now be looked after with a local team. Expert knowledge of Norwegian construction law and execution rules gives clients additional certainty for the successful delivery of their projects.
Successful projects: strategic implementation of lean, working out and executing the project plan
Lean Group implements lean methods strategically in the project. That includes a strategy for efficiency improvement, training staff and project participants, plus actually carrying out the project planning and driving the implementation of the agreed measures. “We are THE project partner for owners and contractors who want to deliver their projects more efficiently and professionally with a highly motivated team. We bring in the improvement methods, but we also take on active roles in the project to take pressure off our clients and to actually deliver the methods and measures,” says Dagfinn Seglem.
